So there's this little drug store chain you may have heard of...they're called...Walgreens I think. They only have something like 7,000+ stores and clinics across the US, Puerto Rico and Guam. I may or may not work for this amazing, spectacular company that records record sales every quarter, fills record number of prescriptions every single quarter, yet still cuts it's payroll budget. Word has it that Rx budget is getting cut so bad that layoffs are coming sooner than later, and I'm guessing the front of the store is not far behind.

Therefore I'd just like to say a big THANK YOU to Greg Wassen and Mark Wagner...or should I be saying "you're welcome?" You're welcome for that 7 figure bonus you get every year because of my hard work, you're welcome for that nice car, boat, house, second home, summer home, Aspen ski lodge, and the SUV that your wives drive the kids to soccer practice in. You're welcome for all the work I put in for you, for your gain, so you can have all kinds of luxuries and I can barely cover my bills. My Take on Baseball

Baseball is my favorite sport, hands down, not sure why, it just is. I was born in June, I'm a summer kid.

I'll always love the game, though it seems the last decade or two the game has gone down hill, it's become more about money than about the game itself. Not that long ago players were drafted, and played on that team for if not their entire career, a big chunk of it. Here in the great state of Wisconsin we have the Brewers, for the bulk of my almost 31 years of being alive, the team wasn't that great, in fact a good portion of that they were abysmal, awful, just plain ugly, but you know something? I still loved them, I loved Robin Yount, Jim "Gumby" Gantner, Paul Molitor, Rob Deer, the whole lot of them. Robin Yount played his entire career here in Wisconsin as a Brewer, only two of them played elsewhere I think, Paul Molitor ended his career in Minnesota, it's his home, I think it was more of a playing for the home state and not "They offered me a bigger contract." Rob Deer played a few seasons in Detroit, his career wasn't going as well as it had in the past, and the Tigers took a gamble on him. What happened to those days?

I'll tell you what happened to those days...Agents and the all mighty dollar. Guys get drafted by a team, play out their initial contract and then scurry off to wherever offers more money, and personally I think that's bull shit, these guys make more money in a year than most American's make in a lifetime, yet when the money comes through they say they're doing "what's best for their families." C.C. Sebathia is a good case in point, after the Brewers traded for him mid-season in '08 he pitched better than any pitcher in the Major Leagues for the last half of the season, then he became a free agent, and really, when offers come in at over 100 mil. does it really matter any more? I mean really? He makes more in a season than several families make in a decade, do you need four Escalades with 21" rims? Or that summer house in Boca? and the winter cottage in Aspen? Fuck no you don't you just want more and more and more, it's outrageous.

I guess what I'm trying to say is I want a team I can get behind, a team I can get to know, players I can see year in and year out, good and bad, and know that next year Ryan Braun is playing in left field and Prince Fielder is gonna be thumping HR's and playing first. It shouldn't be about that extra few million dollars, play the game for your fans, play the game be loyal to your team. Because in all honesty Prince, after next season and you only have one more to go before becoming a free agent...I'll love you if you play for our team, my team, if you are a greedy fucker and go for the all mighty dollar, I wont give two shits about you, except for maybe talking shit when you step into Miller Park in a different uniform, I'll be first in line to buy a ticket behind home plate so I can heckle the shit out of you.

Well, it's 2010, and 2009 was mostly a bust for me. Less pay, no car, barely afford rent, but I do have good friends and family and all that jazz so I really can't complain. Looking for a new job sucks, it's hard when you're only half as qualified as most of the people applying for the same jobs. I'd love to go back to school but that's pricy and I never had the attention span to do both school and work, focus has never been one of my strong suits...unless I'm doing something I enjoy, like video games and scheming with my friends.

This album is fucking great. It's Rancid the way you remember them. It's like 1993 all over again, the sound that revived the punk scene in the mid nineties is back in Rancid's newest album Let The Dominoes Fall.

From the first track "East Bay Night" to the acoustic "Civilian Ways" to Matt Freeman's vocals on "L.A. River" this whole album kicks ass, there's no hit or miss tracks. Solid effort from front to back.

Go out and buy this album, it's worth the money.

Also met a girl that is way cool, but not looking for anything right now other than a friend she can watch movies with and cuddle up to once in a while. Sadly that doesn't involve any more than just that, but hey, we'll see where things go. I'm still looking for a new job, I need one in a bad way.

I'm dropping my Blackberry service and dropping back to the old Moto Rockr. I'm sad but it needs to be done. It's the last of my luxuries though. I'm gonna have to sell off a kidney next, damn.

In approximately 7 hours I will be the big Three Ohhhhhhhhhhhh. Looking back, I can see things I've done right, things I've done wrong and I don't think I'd change any of them. I've made a lot of good friends, made a few enemies, pissed off my fair share of bosses and ex's, and to the people that can't get over the past, the won't be part of my future. To the friends of the past, present and future, I love you all like brothers and sisters. To the people that don't like me for one reason or another, honestly, grow up, I can honestly say I've never done anything to anger anybody bad enough to be really upset. To the people I don't like, you must've done something quite harsh to me, because I don't hate people easily, there's only a small few. If I never see you again, I'm not that broken up about it.

To the future, I'm an average guy with average desires in life. I'm hoping to make a good living, meet a good girl, get married and have a kid or two. Lately those plans don't seem to be panning out, and I'm ok with that. In time it'll happen. So here's to the future, the next 30 years and more.

While working in the prestigious Walgreens photo lab one day I happened to look up and see this girl walking into the hallway where the time clock is located, she was quite pretty, kinda tallish, for a girl, kicking curves, dark hair with some blue steaks. I was intrigued, as fate would have it I had become single shortly before this had happened, and I wasn't going to date for a while, but this girl was...different.

Well, I had gone over to the pharmacy to chit chat with my good friend Angie, she's the coolest pharmacist ever by the way. Well I had mentioned to Angie that I was now single and jokingly asked if she had any hot single friends...her response...a nod of her head in the direction of the Rx Tec with the blue streaked hair...Now how do i deal with something like that? Fate in one of it's many forms?

So, I says to the girl "What you doing tonight? We have a volleyball game, wanna come out and have some drinks with us?" or somehting along those lines, and she responds, "Maybe." Uhhggg, the dreaded maybe. Well long sotry short, she didn't come out that night, but it was because she worked too late. So a week later, same question, different result, she showed up, now at first I was attracted to her based soely on her looks, now don't get me wrong, curves are nice, but she's got this smile that lights up not just a room but our entire store, and the blue is gone from her hair but that's ok. Back to the valleyball game, we hung out, we talked and I think we hit it off, we hung out, watched a movie and called it a night, I was happy as a guy in a wet volleyball pit, lots of sand dmanit. But happy nontheless.

So where does that leave us? Well right now I'm sitting home, watching the A-Team and waiting for a telephone call from a very special girl. I think she gets done with work pretty soon, and I'm hoping she decides to come over and watch a movie again. Well, that's all, fingers crossed.

Well, the election went well, Dems have the majority and Barack Obama is the president. This is only the third presidential election I've been old enough to take part in but hell, I finally got my pick in there. No more Bush and no more Republicans, it was nice to see Obama kidney punch McCain on his way to a victory.

And it has officially turned cold here in Wisconsin, well not really cold, not February cold but there's no middle ground here, it goes from shorts and a t-shirt weather to where the fuck is my winter jacket and thermal underwear weather. I'd really like a fall...You know, the jeans and a sweater and/or a light coat weather. But oh well, we've had snow once, didn't stick, supposed to get more today/tonight I think, if it's gonna be cold, at least give me the damn snow.

Martin Hanson, former aide to Congressman Dave Obey, celebrates Gaylord Nelson’s life because Nelson brought a powerful and truthful message to the public about conservation.

Martin Hanson stands next to a wilderness lake in northwestern Wisconsin. There are a few cottages with screen porches. Some majestic white and red pines grace the grounds. From the other shore a huge granite outcrop watches us across the water.

Hanson was born in Chicago in 1927. His father was a McCormick republican, his mother ran as a candidate for the Socialist Worker Party. Martin Hanson and his brother Louis, coming up on a thirteen hour train ride from the city, spent their summers up north.

But the woods were demolished from the logging era.

Hanson says, “It was nothing but big stumps and rocky outcrops. The land was so abused by the timber barons it caused erosion and forest fires, and burnt the top soil. I thought it’ll be generations before we grow good timber again. At an early age I was really concerned.”

The Hanson family replanted trees. Martin and Louis Hanson everyday hauled a bucket of water to them.

An avid hunter, fisherman, and photographer Martin Hanson grew to appreciate the complexity and beauty of the land. He joined other progressives like Aldo Leopold, Tony Wise, Herb Buettner, Sigurd Olson, and Chuck Stoddard, becoming a conservationist.

When Martin Hanson first heard Governor Gaylord Nelson. giving a speech about development near Webster, Wisconsin, in the early nineteen sixties, he knew he’d found a kindred spirit.

Nelson talked with farmers in bib overalls and galoshes in the high school gym about the merits of living in a small town, “I’ve listened to some of the people here and they want tax base, industry. It’ll never be the same. You’re going to lose your small town. If you want tax base go to Gary, Indiana. There’s all kinds of it there. Smokestacks, highways, the whole thing.” Hanson says the people clapped when they heard this. They understood.

Nelson was visionary. He implemented Aldo Leopold’s “A Sand County Almanac” into law. In 1961 Governor Nelson created the Outdoor Recreation Acquisition Program. The goal was to acquire one million acres of Wisconsin park land, wetlands, and other open space, and it was funded by a penny-a-pack tax on cigarettes.

Elected to the US Senate in 1962, Nelson persuaded President Kennedy to go on a conservation tour. Flying in a US Army helicopter near Bayfield, Martin Hanson showed President Kennedy the Apostle Islands.

Hanson remembers, “There were some sailboats by Bass Island and that gave me the opportunity to tell President Kennedy that from a safety viewpoint the islands had the lee side in case of storm for safety. And of course his hobby was sailing off Cape Cod which is the North Atlantic and very rough. And I got the big Kennedy smile out of that one.”

A decade later President Nixon signed Nelson’s bill creating the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore.

During trips away from Washington DC Gaylord Nelson and wife Carrie Lee often stayed with Martin and Louis Hanson at this small resort in northwestern Wisconsin. Nelson felt at home here. This place reminded him of his boyhood in Clear Lake. At this lovely place in the woods, over steak and whisky and cigarettes, the Nelsons and their progressive allies came up with tactics to protect the commons.

Trying to prevent Northern States Power from building a coal fired electric generator upwind in Stillwater, Minnesota, a woman asked Hanson how to defend the rivers in northwest Wisconsin. Hanson had her ask Senator Nelson to declare the Namekagon-St. Croix off-limits to industrial expansion. With help from Hayward entrepreneur Tony Wise and thousands of conservationists in 1968 the Namekagon-St. Croix was federally preserved as a wild and scenic river. Hanson quips, “If we hadn’t protected the river Hayward today would be a real mess.”

Nelson’s effectiveness as a politician had much to with growing up in a small town and his self-effacing charm. Hanson says one time when Nelson was US Senator, holding an agricultural hearing in Eau Claire he called Polk County chairman Harvey Duholm as the first witness.

“Well, Harvey came up, kind of a grumpy old man. And he said we all knew when Gaylord was a kid and raising hell he’d end up in an institution, but little did we know he’d end up in the US Senate.”

Hanson continues, “And of course this would put the whole audience at ease. Waiting for the next quip, they loved it.”

And then Nelson went on to the dilemmas of our society and conservation.

An early critic of the Vietnam War after a trip to Santa Barbara California witnessing an oil spill, Nelson translated the Vietnam War “teach-in” concept to the conservation movement. This became the first Earth Day April 22, 1970. More than twenty million people mobilized. The modern day environmental movement took off.

Nelson never gave up the fight for justice. When some former Senators, like his 1980 opponent Bob Kasten sold weapons in the middle east, Nelson took a job advocating for the Wilderness Society. Nelson donated his speech revenue for office space.

Fighting the utilities ill conceived giant electric line slicing across northwest Wisconsin, Gaylord Nelson showed up two years ago amid the big pines with hundreds of supporters at the proposed Namekagon River crossing. We stood with him. Wisconsin Public Television filmed it.

Gaylord Nelson, Wisconsin’s former governor raised his fist into the air and said, “There aren’t many rivers left around the country as beautiful and pure as the Namekagon. We should leave it as it is. I’ll have to be two hundred years old before I let the utilities cross our beloved river.” Footage from this event was recently shown on Wisconsin Public Television in “Earth Day and Beyond: Gaylord Nelson’s Good Fight”.

Hanson describes Gaylord Nelson’s legacy.

“Well, it’s awareness of people that our resources are finite. We’re lavishly living and wasting our resources. An oil shortage is coming around the corner. And our society lives to drive cars and fly airplanes. We won’t have life on earth if we continue on our present path. There’s too many people. Pure and simple.”

This month, almost 2 million first-year students will head off to college campuses around the country. Most of them will be about 18 years old, born in 1990 when headlines sounded oddly familiar to those of today: Rising fuel costs were causing airlines to cut staff and flight schedules; Big Three car companies were facing declining sales and profits; and a president named Bush was increasing the number of troops in the Middle East in the hopes of securing peace. However, the mindset of this new generation of college students is quite different from that of the faculty about to prepare them to become the leaders of tomorrow.

Each August for the past 11 years, Beloit College in Beloit, Wis., has released the Beloit College Mindset List. It provides a look at the cultural touchstones that shape the lives of students entering college. It is the creation of Beloit’s Keefer Professor of the Humanities Tom McBride and Public Affairs Director Ron Nief. The List is shared with faculty and with thousands who request it each year as the school year begins, as a reminder of the rapidly changing frame of reference for this new generation.

The class of 2012 has grown up in an era where computers and rapid communication are the norm, and colleges no longer trumpet the fact that residence halls are “wired” and equipped with the latest hardware. These students will hardly recognize the availability of telephones in their rooms since they have seldom utilized landlines during their adolescence. They will continue to live on their cell phones and communicate via texting. Roommates, few of whom have ever shared a bedroom, have already checked out each other on Facebook where they have shared their most personal thoughts with the whole world.

It is a multicultural, politically correct and “green” generation that has hardly noticed the threats to their privacy and has never feared the Russians and the Warsaw Pact.

Students entering college for the first time this fall were generally born in 1990.

For these students, Sammy Davis Jr., Jim Henson, Ryan White, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Freddy Krueger have always been dead.

Well, I had today off, and I managed to spend it all doing a lot of nothing...well, I did do dishes, and played Oblivion for quite a few hours. Read some of book, did a sudoku puzzle or two, but other than that. Just made myself some scrambled eggs with cheese toast and a pot of coffee and wasted another day. It felt good.

Tonight though I'm off to a new bar to me anyway, forget the name of it already, and am going to go watch the first Packers pre-season game with Gigi and her friend Rick. Hopefully the place will have a good burger or sandwich of some sort and some good deep fried food of any kind, because as we all know, if it's deep fried it's pretty fuckin' tasty.

Well, Go Packers! and Go Aaron Rodgers, make this Brett Favre diva look like more of a fool than he already is. I said it back in August of 2005 this shit needs to end.

Well, it's my day off and I'm being fucking lazy. Watched Caddy Shack and Stripes this morning, then made myself some eggs and toast for lunch. Still haven't hit the shower and it's closing in on 3 pm. Currently am listening to some NOFX kinda loud. I really should become more alive for the day, final volleyball game of the season for team #7 tonight, lets hope we go out on a high note by winning at least 2 of 3 maybe our first sweep would be nice too. Lets also hope we go out on a drunk note. We need about 15 pitchers to get our barrel party, I think we can do it, it'll be fun.

I bought a new game for my PSP from a work friend. The PSP is a toy I just don't play with enough these days, but I don't play any video games enough these days, but, I have been reading more which I guess is good, broadens my brain a bit, keeps it running in tip top shape, but those video games are quite good for the hand eye coordination...speaking of which, maybe some Guitar Hero before the shower. But on to the new game, Final Fantasy Tactics, it's pretty cool, but f'n hard, seems some of these battles I have the opponents are of a much higher level than myself.

Hmmmm...what else. As far as music goes, nothing super new lately except the new Beck album which is pretty damn good, not the Beck of the 90's but it's still Beck.

Well, next week will be nice, and I'll be bringing in all kinds of cash, getting paid for my full 44 at work, plus working 3 days for Chris, gonna have me some good drinking money, or money for some toys or something fun, who knows. Maybe finally get that tattoo I've been wanting. That'd be a kick ass way to close out a fun but busy week.

Haven't been doing much lately. Just work, work, work, volleyball, work, work, work. That said, tomorrow is the last game of the season. I'm bummed but I think I'm signed up for a fall league. I subbed on Chris' Tuesday team the other night, it was fun, I helped them gain a victory and got to hang out with Cubby and Bav and drink some Blatz. Cubby and Bav's team are up at around 250 pitchers, that earns them jackets along with the barrel party and pizza. Our team is just hoping for the beer, we're not that hard core I guess. We'll get 'em next year.

Hopefully I'll get some time off here in the next week, I've only heard good things about the Dark Knight movie and I want to see The Clone Wars, the CGI Star Wars interlude. The events between episode 2 and 3.

Well on that note, I'm off to work, have fun everybody and keep rocking.

Ahhh, another Summerfest down, and a fucking great time had by everybody.

We got there early afternoon, beautiful day, not in the 90's like last year, but still sunny, quite pleasant. Started off by looking for all the free shit we could get our hands on, free shit is awesome. As we were roaming the grounds we saw that a game of Bingo was about to start at the Pottawatomie sage...and it was free, so we played Bingo, it was kinda fun...but we all lost...every round, or however it's done in bingo, ten games to a match? Ten rounds to a game? Oh well, so we ate good food, drank some good beer and some cheap over priced beer...$4.50 for a plastic cup of High Life...yeah.

Well about 6 o'clock it was time to head over to the Harley Davidson Road House stage for some punk rock hijinx. First band we saw was Big D and the Kids Table, good band, I like these guys a lot, and for being called Big D, he's a scrawny white boy with a great voice, mad props.

After Big D, was probably for me, the most anticipated band of the night, Goldfinger, I haven't really heard much of their work since the early/mid 90's but hell, they were solid, and started a pretty good fuck George Bush chant an had us all flip him off for Independence Day, oh yeah, Big D closed out their set with a shout out to Obama '08. But back to Goldfinger. The drummer, forget his name, I'm pretty sure he got arrested for bearing his ass to the crowd. It was all in the name of making people in the crowd vomit, he shoved something in his crack and then took a bite out of it, he then proceeded to bring a guy up on stage and poured a beer in the guy's shoe and drank the beer from the shoe, people vomited. To top it all off at the end of their set, he lit his cymbals on fire, that was pretty awesome as well.

Then the Main event, which we opted to see over STP who was also playing and we got free passes to go see. Less Than Jake, we saw them last year and they put on a stellar performance again, but I don't think it was quite as good as last year's The Price is Right stage show, they didn't really have any special gimmicks this year, just music, and some new songs from their new album. Though they did play this fun game called Dirty Rat, they picked 3 guys and 1 girl from the crowd, brought them on stage. Now how this game works, I think may have made more people vomit, the girl was blind folded the 3 guys were to remove their shirts to expose their arm pits and she had to smell each one, they buried her face in those pits, quite gross, but after she picked the smelliest one she had to dirty dance with the dirty rat on stage during a song, oh and they named the guy that "won" Dewie Shebag, because he was kind of a douche bag.

By the end of the night I had this old guy standing next to me who was waiting on his daughter and her friends who I'm guessing by the looks of them were 16 tops. He was getting irate at some of the things the band was saying/doing on stage, he looked ready to march up on stage and yell at them for how inappropriate things were, when the lead singer mentioned that the drummer had a "huge schlong" I swear I saw fire shoot from his eyes. The super drunk fuck directly in front of Erika kept falling of his bench, he should've stuck to the pavement.

We got back into town and headed over to LaBamba's for burritos as big as our heads. But the only burrito at the table was my brother's and he got a regular not a super. I was just too damn tired to eat, I didn't get home that morning till 5:15 am and had to be up and ready to go over at Chris' apartment at 10:30ish. Thursday was tons of fun though too. But that was just new bars, friends meeting new friends and staying up talking with a girl till the sun came up. I can't think of a better way to spend a night.

Lazy Days Off

So it's Tuesday, it's 2:36pm and I'm bored. Doing nothing. Hoping for a phone call from a friend. Cleaning needs to be done, but it's so damn hot in here, I really just don't want to do it. I played some Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion today for a few hours, it's a great game, but it's starting to get hard, guess I'll have to press on and improve my gaming skills. I'm also listening to 89.9 WORT, it's a listener sponsored radio station here in town, it's actually just a few blocks from my apartment. Not sure what show I'm listening to, but it's some nice mellow jazz piano stuff, but I'm gonna have to switch to the CD's soon if I'm going to be cleaning, something a bit more up beat.

Well, not much to say really.

Gigi, if you read this, that overflowing closet has grown into an entire apartment full, all with your name on them. Hope you get that one, it was late when we were talking.

Long time Sunshine

It's been a while since I posted a fun little bit of words for you all to read. So here we go!

I've now moved to downtown Madison, I can walk to work which will save me a shit load of $$ on gas...fuck big oil.

I'm now officially a year older, 29, one more year before the big party, keep your eyes posted, I'm going to figure out something spectacular for the big three O.

Other than that, not much new, life is life. The love life is still non-existant unfortunately, I do have prospects, well maybe just one but she's a cool girl, I like her, she's fun, smart, and well, just awesome, I'll cross my fingers.

My grill has been happily adopted by a loving guy, I know he'll treat it with the respect that a Smoky Joe little grill needs. Thank my brother Ethan for adopting the sweet little grill of mine.

I got $20 for somebody if they wanna finish unpacking my car and making this place look like an apartment, I'll also buy ya some booze, I just don't have the ambition.

Horray for post #100, and it's a good one kids.

Well, not really, but I pretty much have been without a perminant internet connection so I've been everywhere but online. Volleyball season started recently, last night was week 3, we're an ok team, we just gotta get better. Each week we play 3 games against the same team, and so far each week wear are 1 - 2, so over all on the season, we are a huge 3 - 6, not bad I guess, but below the .500 marker I'd like to be at. We are however doing good on keeping up on our pitcher's of beer, that might be one trophy we can take with us.

The on again and off again Brewers are currently on again. We just won the second in a row from Houston. and I think that's 4 of the last 5 games, which is quite respectable. Now if the Cubs would take their turn at the slump we could gain some ground, but there's still pleanty of season to go.

The Celtics and the Lakers are meeting up in the NBA finals, joyous to me, I love it, classic matchup, I'm sure they'll be parading Erving "Magic" Johnson and Larry Bird around all the big sports shows talking up the legendary rivalry. All I can say is GO CELTICS! Mostly because I hate Kobe.

**I had a paragraph here I wrote out of frustration, upon further review, I decided to remove it. It was fairly true to life but I've realized that in the end things work the way they do for a reason.

And lastly, my boss is a douche. Nuff said. Keep an eye out for more on him as I have started a sort of revolution at work. I'm sort of like V in "V for Vendetta," but I'm not going to blow up parliment, I'm just going to start a bottome up mutny (sp?) and take over that bitch and see how many times that prick bounces when he gets shit canned and tossed out the front door.

Well, the last three Saturday nights I've gotten myself in quite a stupor, weather it's due to continued work stress or just my friends enjoying drunk Joe it's been a wild ride. First was Erika's "Horray I quit my job" outing, then it was Erika's birthday, then it was...uh...Saturday? There are bits and pieces I don't remember, there are some moments I do remember that make me go hmm...what did I just do? The blank spaces are the ones I want to remember, like dancing with a girl...blank spot...bouncer saying "If you two are gonna keep that up just take her home."...to what the fuck were we just doing? I really want to know now. Or the cute girl I rescued from the creepy guy, she asked for my number, why didn't she call, did I do something retarded...well probably yeah.

So, well, I'm gonna toss up some pics for all of ya, probably in no real order, but you can see some of what has gone on these last few weeks.

Well, it's Saturday afternoon, I've accomplished breakfast witha friend, hanging out for a few hours and even bought a kick ass new shirt at the Old Navy for a whopping $3.49 plus that all powerful sales tax. I love clearance racks.

So yeah, now my day seems to be over before it really started, i was home by 1, and there's nothing to do, nothing good on TV. There's still a day or two before Brewers opening day and the Badgers choked big last night. The ex took the grill so I can't make myself a steak like I wanted to, but it's all gone, all her shit...GONE!!! It's about fucking time. It's only been like what 3 months.

So Badgers hockey tonight. Lets hope they can do better in their tourney than the hoops team did. I have no new pictures, but hopefully I'll end up going out tonight and be taking lots and lots of fun drunken pictures of fun drunken people!!!

King James got spanked by the Bucks...yeah, the Bucks, they lost and he sucked balls, though it is sad that he got the biggest ovation durring the opening announcments of the team starters.

This is what $7 will get you at a Milwaukee Bucks game. Sad, the team sucks but a beer to get you over the depressing sight that is the Bucks will cost you $7 a cup. Though we got lucky and they won this one.

Last night I voluntered at the 89.9 WORT studios answering phones durring their pledge drive with my lovely lady friend Megan. Though she took more calls and overall more money than I did, I did score the biggest pledge of the shift at a huge $100.00. If I had the money I would have pledged more than just my time, there was a pair of tickets to the Rev. Horton Heat show that I really wanted. Was a pretty slow night for pledges, I guess we took in a bit more than $400.00 over the course of the three hours, and considering that the last hour we just sat there and roced out to the good music being played by the Friday on my Mind show.

Well, my apartment is almost empty, it's pretty nice really. I didn't think I was going to enjoy having the place to myself but I do. I've got more space for all the stuff I don't do, but have intentions on doing before I move out. One of which is gonna be some sort of a damn good party. Alot less stuff = alot less clutter, I'm feeling alot less closterphobic now, and as soon and Brie gets the last of her things this is going to be quite the pad...till June. Oh, and by the way, if anybody knows a nice cheap place, don't care how big really, but $400 is about as high as I can go right now, let me know, I need a place to live by the end of June.

Today is the third closing day in a row for me. I hate closing shifts at the Wal. Especially when they are followed by an opening shift the next day. But Friday will be alright, volunteering at 89.9 WORT, and then probably some kick ass Perkins for dinner. Other than that I have no plans this weekend, I'm sure Chris and I will find some "adult" beverages on Saturday night. I'll probably get to spend Sunday finishing up the apartment cleaning, and re-arranging.

The date Friday night was probably one of the best nights of my life. A breath of fresh air, a fresh burst of life into an otherwise dead one. It was nice and simple but the girl is just perfect. Made me forget all about what's happened lately, made me not care, not be depressed.

Started out me picking her up from work, and then heading to the Olive Garden for a nice dinner. We did alot of talking and laughing...did I mentin she has some of the prettiest blue eyes ever...Then we popped into the Walgreens (lame I know) to pick up some illegal goods to sneak into the movie, you know, Sour Patch Kids for $1.00 instead of $6.49 at the concession stand...same size box...well she saw this giant stuffed rabbit and liked it so I bought it for her, she loves it. Then we saw Vantage Point...kick ass movie, see it...but at the movie, she just held on to my arm, made me feel like the king of the world, Mr. Success.

That's all, I'm just in a happy place now.
